Human Expression and Facial Recognition

Human Expression and Facial Recognition

Human expression are highly interdependent, and what the individual does, invariably effects what happens to others. It is very useful for us to be able to read each other’s emotions in order to predict what someone might do next. We need to signal our own emotions in order to nudge others to do what we want. ( this is a person note added to this observation, as I believe it is better to just accept others and do for you yourself, because if you try and manipulate, often what happens is you are the one that is wrong for trying).

Expressions are more than just signals, triggers, stimulants, energies, chemistry, personalities, souls, disorders, dis-ease, or healthy and centered. As expressions of self are and extension of who we are as a whole person. This includes the firing of neurons which if inhibited cause facial and body muscles to contract, contort, and this is noticeable in people who have been blind since birth. They are found to be similar or identified in those displayed by people with vision. Learning plays a small part in expression.

There are two types of homo sapien smiles, the conscious social smile, and the gentle soul like smile.  The first involves conscious activation of muscles that stretch the mouth sideways. The second involves an additional set of muscles which are controlled by unconscious brain processes. The muscles make the lower lid of the eyes swell and the edges crinkle with crows feet. An expression not only shows what a person is feeling, but what they are associating with mentally in a conscious smile, and this produces a weak sensation of happiness.

A heartfelt smile is hard to produce naturally on demand because it requires and is controlled by emotion. The real smile with both mouth and eyes is activated by the reflection of a happy all around mood.

Social smiles signals or triggers or stimulants are sent from conscious areas to per-motor and motor cortices, the Temporal areas and supplementary area 4.

Conflicting emotions have a direct effect on trying to get others to serve our needs. Over riding emotions have a direct effect when trying to get others to do what needs be done. Over riding emotions with another can create emotional conflict. Humans can use emotions dishonestly.

As a note: I prefer to be honest, and if I feel like smiling smile, if not just be honest. Because we owe no one a thing if we are honest, or have no ulterior motive or intent to do something negative. Trying to keep children alive is not a negative intent. FACTS Just be you.
