Rudyard’s Kiplings Perception of What is a Man

Rudyard’s Kiplings Perception of What is a Man

Rudyard stated the following about his own perception;

“If”

If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs,

If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,

And make an allowance for their doubting you,

If you can wait and not be tired of waiting,

Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,

Or being hated, but don’t give way to hating,

And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise,

If you can dream, and not make dreams your master,

If you can think and not make thoughts your aim,

If you can meet triumph, and disaster

And treat those two imposters just the same,

If you can bear to hear the Truth you’ve spoken,

Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,

And stoop and build them up with broken worn – out tools,

If you can make one heap of all your winnings,

And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss

And lose, and start again at your beginnings,

And never  breathe a word about your loss,

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew,

To serve your turn long after they  are gone,

And to hold on when nothing is in you

Except the Will to say to they or them, “hold on,”

If you can talk to crowds and keep your virtue,

Or walk with Kings, nor lose the common touch,

If neither foes, nor loving friends can hurt you,

If All men count with you, but none too much,

If you can fill an unforgiving moment,

With sixty seconds worth of distance run,

Yours is the earth and everything that is in it,

And which is more….”You’ll be a man my son!”

Carolyn: When I look at this man’s perspective, along with Jesus Christ, I can understand how some men can be discouraged and giving up. I myself as a woman have had to do this for 8 long years of going through being hated, being dissed for knowing Truth about biological organisms living in a biosphere, knowing how Cultures attack each other even when there is no good intent from some, and others struggling to be heard. How do you keep your head when all around you seems to be falling apart, and indeed as a woman when every man on earth thinks of you as Evil because that is what they have been told.

Further how you must pick yourself up and make a stand, standing cemented in Truth, but also being flexible enough in your adaptability, so as not to damage yourself  and others by violence, in the flexibility of Nature, and it’s biosphere we find ourselves residing in. This being so as not to do damage yourself with negative chemistry such as the fight or flight syndrome of Chemical toxicity in our bodies. I am dealing with the Lack of morals, and ethics, and lack of so many being unrealistic, as some “spout their perspective of alternative facts.”   I will not be absorbed by the darkness of their thinking, and I am not giving in to destructive thinking such a “Critical Race Hypothetical views,” and also our Genders “being anything you choose,” in hypothetical ideas of alternative facts and not facts of reality.

I was thrown into life as a female by my mother’s womb at birth. Like it or not, into a Canadian Culture that calls itself a democracy, but often dissing  the female when we stand up for affordability for  women to have children, affordability of homes, rents, and food, and clothing, and sports equipment for kids, along with schooling equipment, for safety in our communities for women who indeed have a completely different make up than men. I do not believe in Violence of any kind.I certainly do not believe in a women’s womb being removed for those who cannot speak the language, and 40 uteri missing from women.

Science thinks this a biological win for Science who studies how to clone homo sapiens so they do not have to contend with the “Female Creators” and never mind protecting her. However, the man wants to control sex, gender, procreation, human civilizations, and populations of Mother Earth, via Science. Also removal of 40 uteri missing and Epstein who was modelling in Physics, for biological science research in what some claim is Climate Change. However, body parts for some are a 564 billion dollar business for the medical community right now, and doctors making a big buck off this hideous business. Body parts of wealthy and the rest of us, are their targets.

We come from the cells called eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells in Africa thousands of years ago, from the seas, and soils, and we have 3 evolved brains, as homo sapiens. We have systems, whether cardiac systems, cannabinoid system, the endocrine system, nervous system, (Autonomous Nervous system, and the Central Nervous System), and multiple systems along with sense intake of our environment for adaptability and survival.  Our brain and senses, evolved to deal with survival in a very toxic environment. What I mean here by toxic environment is Atom bombs, Nuclear bombs, Agent Orange, Wars, killings, Genocides, violence toward women, children being taken out of schools for by some for impregnating, by men from Religious groups that feel they have that right, by some with sexual inadequacies of addictions,  and living an inauthentic life, because in realizing our apparent as humans, to avoid death at all possibility.

As this one woman and my perspective is to Value life. I do not celebrate death. I do not celebrate an afterlife. I celebrate life. And yet condemned for doing so. There is no afterlife, but life in this moment is all we have. Enjoy it, for this life goes fast.

I understand that this man’s poem is from a man from another time, of when wars, and slavery where acceptable. It did not matter what colour of skin you had, as many women where slaves to marriage, while the men impregnated other women. But this Rudyard Kipling is a man that has mastered his own thinking by writing, living, and shares what he was living, and being. I found it most insightful. You do not have to agree with his writings on any level, but your job is to master your own life and your own thinking must be Valued. That is how I see this one poem.

My observations of his mastering his life of that time, is he lived in a different world than we do today. Evolution seems to be somewhat of a very slow turn of the wheel process. But every step toward equality is a step forward. Mastery and slave thinking go hand in hand even in 2023. I myself see today’s female in a economical slave position. Am I wrong, or right? For my own way of thinking, I am right. A woman cannot live without a man paying the bills, or your standard of life goes down. But you decide for you.

I choose for my life….”Peace, Harmony and Honouring Life”

United We Stand or so I thought…but covid very much proved different and full of Anarchists, and Racism. I will not join any of you for the path of Hate.
