Are we Individual Entities or are We a Coherent Unified Whole, as a Grand Unified Theory of Everything?

Before I begin, this article…I want you to know that I believe in the brain 100% and it’s abilities, as we have powerful minds that can make anything happen but only if you keep yourself centred at all times. Not only Tony Robbins, Wayne Dyer or John Bradshaw  stated that, but I am stating that in 2023. My experience makes it so with me. Jesus also saw this, and God is truly Love.

So lets keep an open mind, and here goes….

“The Centred question has been for the last few years, is how do we redefine reality. Well one thing we know for certain based on all the DNA in from chimpanzees and human beings,  is that we are all homo sapiens. Even the homo sapiens wiped out Neanderthals, however sometimes I wonder, but I digress. We have looked at the trajectory of Sciences and in the development of technology, and in all three there seems to be some patterns we see occurring. One pattern is we see an atomistic picture in which reality is pictured as a collection or group of discrete objects, individualistic entities that have an autonomous existence. We gain a sense of reality by looking at these individuals individually.”

Each time this view was developed, problems emerged because we came to realize that reality is not well described as an atomistic system. The parts are not distinct. but rather related to one another. There are relationships be they gravitational, parental, or political and we cannot really understand the properties or the behaviours of the individuals separate from the relationships in which the individual is involved. As a result the picture of reality had to be enlarged so that we held what really existed was a set of individuals and their relations. In physics this meant that we not only had atoms, but energy and forces. In biology this meant we not only had organisms but species, and selection pressures. In psychology, sociology, and economics we not only had people with minds, positions and wealth but power structures and institutions.

But then we were forced to make a further generalization where reality is seen as a “Unified Whole” where the individuals became embedded aspects of a single coherent larger existence. In physics we lost atoms, subatomic particles  and forces between them to the field, where we thought were individual bits are seen now as vibratory modes and field Values.

With advances in data analytics, the combination of social sciences and technology seems to be forcing us to come to the same conclusions about ourselves and our social world. We are not the individuals we think we are living,  who are supposedly living the individual existence that we think we are living, as the indomitable free will. Yes we have relationships that influence us, ask anyone and they will tell you stories of mentors, teachers, parents, who helped them become who they are. Heroes to whom they looked up to who inspired them to follow the path they chose.  But now we see we must take that last holistic step as with ourselves as well. Will we need to think of ourselves as nodes of a larger social web. Is the use of data analytics the first step in forming a sociological version of a “Grand Unified Theory, a Humanistic Theory of Everything.” Do we really exist as independent entities or are we just cultural modes of vibration in a psychological version of string theory?

The inventory of the Internet were attracted to this sort of view which we find in writers like Carl Jung, and the effects of the internet seem to reinforce it. And yet the Internet Inventors were also seduced by Libertarianism  with its deep commitments to the existence of the individual and the notion of freedom that accompanies it. Does the success of the predictive analytics mean that our individuality is illusory, and our talk of freedom meaningless?

Does the move to seeing society as an emergent web with a collective reality that affects us in strongly predictable ways mean that ultimately we will have to define reality without the self?

Carolyn states in the State of Love, in Heartland, I am is the self. I am a physical entity, I am a social entity, I am a psychological entity, and I am a biological organism or entity, and I am Real. I am not alternative facts, but real facts. But around me, you have to Love. Just the way I am.  Love reinforces me to be happy, and my eyes sparkle when I am in Love. Yep!

Freedom to fly is a necessity. Just like birds, if you try to keep us caged, we will find a way to fly freely. Homo sapiens, love Freedom. What seems to stifle us more than anything is large governments.
