Stratified Societies….the definition of a Stratified Society…It is a society that is divided into classes by the amount of control,  they have over wealth, energy, resources and other differences of generations of status between rich and poor. And this status quo is maintained over generations through the exercise of power and recourse to hire specialists of law and order, police, courts, jail and executioners. Who protect the rich minority from the envy and resentment of the majority who are a majority who are poorer. Yes indeed poor are poorer. (95 % of the people, fighting for 5% of the money and they give tax breaks to the wealthy and contracts, and look after their own first). Stratification is associated with dense populations and large harvests and high productivity. Information is not high productivity. Playing golf is not high productivity. Parts of the producers output are expropriated and placed at the service of the ruling class. Corvee, rent controls, taxes, slavery are the principal mechanisms for gaining control over peasant production. Corvee is a rent paid in labour instead of cash or portions of the crop.
