Narrowing the Gap between Haves and Have Nots!

Narrowing the Gap between Haves and Have Nots!

I was doing research yesterday and watched Robert Reich’s lecture at Berkley, and the problem of the growing dissonance between those who have and do not have. Well I want to know what do people think we should be living if not my idea? But so far no answer for what the communities are to look like, by all these professors that claim to know so much about the problems but what are the solutions.

What to live in a large real estate owned ugly buildings that has no soul at all, and no back yards for kids to play in, with no beaches, well blow me over, I stepped right up and said, “tell me what you want for Life.” Then I got into what is Life? What does Life really look like to most people. What are our dreams? Does everyone want Peace, Harmony and Honour for those who have died and serve our lands.  Lord only knows, I can only speak for myself. So we need little homes of pride. Little places with a court yard and pools for kids to play in, and make friends. We need Tree lined streets, warmth of colours like Mexican colours, little Hacienda’s with beautiful thick thick walls that last 700 years. We need little stores and boutiques family owned and living together takes courage and the opportunity to learn about the human condition with passion and kindness, and that is you see someone, crack your face and smile. Make our villages so that some can come along later in 50 years and patch, instead of tearing everything down or having to spray with toxic sprays for insects in woods. Further, we need our trees to live, to breathe and for oxygen and moisture in the air. Without that people become sick.

Yes I understand there is a wide spread awareness of the inequities in our own countries….but there is not for 99% of us.  I was down in Florida and saw this fact loud and clear. The visitors come in, and because of economy, they give the visitors the best places, but often are living in run down shacks for workers. I want to see that change. The worker bee must always be respected and Valued or you have no economy. What are the incentives? Being part owner of the Land and country. We work for each other and for our country together. Its OUR  country not someone elses. When I stand in any graveyard, or see a grave stone, I know that person contributed to who we are today, and I salute them. Colin and I both believe this way.

You cannot have societies where some do all the work, and others take credit for it, and that is what is happening everyday with women. Often women have been shunned and the man takes credit from nurses to secretaries that happens. Respect and Value for workers are most important.

Like Soldiers who lay their lives on the line for others, are to be respected, and Valued, and we feed and care for them when they come home. You do not just dis them with no programs for PTSD. Do you expect these sons of ours are robots? And do you expect them to have no feelings, no memories and have to just work for you? For wealth. When I saw some just dising our soldiers a couple of years ago, I near blew my stack. That to me was the epitome of cruel. November 11th is a day I take for writing poetry and thinking of these me who gave of their lives for us to have freedom and some dising them for doing that. Wow! But also women are hard hard workers too, and if you think that is not true, I would beg to differ. I have laboured my whole life and live today to talk about homes, family, volunteering, offering your home to people in trouble, and even sometimes if it takes you living in your camper for a few months to give others a chance to survive, you do so. Sometimes economics can make our lives really rough. But you never give up. Ask for help, search for ideas, but you keep going and being creative and if others do not like it, ask them for their ideas. Because everyone is creative with passions and some think they are so smart, but often have not even a clue how to write up laws without contradictions of great suffering. So there  are social rules, treat thy neighbour as you wish to be love.

I think it is time that we start narrowing the gap between those who have and do not have. People are getting pretty angry about this at this time in 2023. But everyone has to realize there are rules to an economy. You just have to make an effort to learn them. I am not a dictator so you learn them by doing and listening and being kind, and loving and laughing an stay away from masochism. That is someone who self sabotages. But each countries leaders have a job to do, and at great expense to self, care about others before yourself. FACTS.

Carolyn d Hogarth ….If  you are selling drugs, you do not even care about yourself never mind others….and this is fact.

Little people who need us. FACTS! But I will not beg. Do it or not, I have said my piece.
