If home sapiens are 1 species as a population of people, world wide it becomes clear the most optimal state is between the extremes, and I concur.
One of the optimum states is a person who is likely to take risks with life, and death like guns, and the other is Liberalism the Woke side. One side has a dopamine signalling system which has many receptors to receive the molecule dopamine, and where in some environments helps to balance an environment of groups, because the other side of the environment is people who avoid risks. A person is optimized in terms of survival and produces offspring that are the same at a balanced point. The novelty seekers, the extremes, the risk takers are heterozygotes that are impulsive with very little thought out logic in decisions. The balanced optimal thinkers who are centered 2 alleles, not homozygous for the other end, but the middle is more likely in most decisions, in environments. But when environments change what can happen is a new environment changes the selection of alleles, and the increased risk taking or decreased risk taking changes.
An interesting finding of the DR4R, is that there was an original version of the receptor 50,000 years ago and today in Evolution it has gone two different directions. One directions causes the dopamine to be novelty seeking and less efficient, at binding dopamine and there is more risk taking behavior. The other side is you do not need as much dopamine to be satisfied. You can have any combination of Alleles in different populations, and this has risks in populations, for example like Narcissism, a disorder that can be caused by genetics. There is always a balancing of alleles trying to get toward the middle. Stress is a incentivizer for centered dopamine systems that seek mood uplifting Justice. There is a balance between happiness, contentedness and stress.
In serotonin there is a mood balancer. If you have too many serotonin transporters the serotonin has a problem with the signal to noise ratio. The signal can be so low that it causes a mood change and an inbalance. If it is balanced it gets to the downstream cell.
Whereas mood disorders have an inbalance of of stress responses and you can get a chemical version of depression if not balanced. SSRI’s for selective seretonin uptake is given to balance moods and in PTSD can have this occur. SSRI’s can block transporters.
The best thing to do is practice looking at situations with options and choices and take a look at the most logical way of getting something to change within yourself by staying in the middle. This becomes a practiced learned habit, a practiced way of keeping chemistry balanced within your system.
