See Pert and her Struggles
“Molecules of Emotion,” or synapses of emotion and the instincts that come from those senses, should be valued by those who feel them, and when they give you warnings something is not right, I honour those who listen to their own instincts.
In Jeanette Norden’s book on Neuro-Science on page 186 I found Candice Pert’s name and book recommendation of “Molecules of Emotion.” New York Scribner, 1997, and did not realize the book was recommended until I saw it there on the recommended reading.
This was a book that I read long before taking neuroscience, but was intrigued by Candace’s story and her struggle in becoming recognized as someone who was a women interested in Scientific studies, and how on her journey she made pivotal discoveries including discoveries on how the brain worked and its opiate peptides, and how her knowledge about the immune system operates.
And from my perspective, I love the Optimum brain studies and have for many many years now. Initiating movement comes from the sense intake whether it be from memory, or outside sources, the brain goes directly into energy laws, and potential and then to kinetic energy by accomplishing goals. The immune system is part of that system. Being self aware of who you are just takes knowing how the brain operates and being aware and responsible for your own actions as on “perspectivism” which is a psychological term that stands as a principle, and “positivism” inclusive, another principle of logic, further treating others with the “Principle of Equality.” Every one stands in the effect of the cause, and has the ability to initiate movement in a positive way, hence the tapestry idea. It is in my last few writings on this site.
Moving on to today;
Based on those above principles, I want to wish all Canadians that know how Canadians and the French became Canadians together by sharing a village on the East coast, based on gardening, fishing, and families living in an area of shared communion. The Acadeans were known for their gardening abilities. I can smell the breads on the large spits, the pots of barley soups and Pea soups cooking for everyone in the shared kitchens. There were shared jobs of a community for the sake of the whole to survive the bitter cold weather and nor easters of the Atlantic, but they were known for their ability to have the ocean work for them. If you travel out east to the New Brunswick Acadian area, go spend some time where some of these loving groups of people still exist with the weather from the Atlantic, and manage to keep these communities surviving and thriving. It is based on that history, that I want to say, that it is a day of honouring our new home in the New World and joining up with the existing people by respecting their culture and learning from each other, which works better than alienating everyone around you with attacks of biological warfare. I do not believe in classism, nor do I believe in any less than the hybrid born and that one individual has the opportunity to contribute to our lives to make us community.
I honour our parents and grand parents who tried their best to adapt to their times, and connect and to respond with the Love Potion number 9 in their lives, regardless of what they were handed to deal with. I respect cultures that add something to our lives. I have said that a few cultures add Canadian diversity, that is valued by many of us in folk festivals, shared dynamics of language, cooking, arts, crafts, and production of sound, affordable products that contribute positively to our lives. I do not accept the resentment that sometimes drives segregation. I appreciate and respect those who find a value for the Natural Laws we live with because the Nature of the biological organism being is indeed diverse, even in immediate family. But I honour your diversity, your chosen foods, and lifestyles. I honour your music, and your spirit. So this day and weekend of Thanksgiving I want to wish Canadians a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I will tell you through out the writings this next year of all the things I do admire so much about our trees, flowers, bees, birds, waterways, boats, and the wonderful people I met along the way, who are not the apples that went wrong, but the apples that are sweet. Bless you all on this weekend were we give thanks for all we are in Canada through diversity. I wish our friends knew Canada as I know it.
In honour of our grand parents, great grand parents and our histories one and all Happy Thanksgiving weekend. Carolyn and Colin Hogarth Canada. For those who enjoy looking at history, read some of Popper’s work, and Spinoza’s Rationalism. Its good to look at as many of these great people who lived in different areas of the world, and who contribute to the World’s philosophies, and logical thinkers. I wish you a year of Peace.
To my sunning partner on my deck who just seem to come and sit with me for no apparent reason but to be. 😉
